Keeping an eye on quality

Everything we do and everything we deliver to our customers is subject to exceptionally high standards of quality that we have set for ourselves and which our customers have always come to expect.

Working towards this achievement itself means hard work and determination. We have implemented a programe of continuous quality and process control at each and every stage of design, production, and after sales service.

The purpose of these measures is to ensure that we can maintain our high level of quality and supply of reliable products at shortest delivery periods, which customers expect from us.

Industry Standards that apply to all our products:

• IS 8623-1993 part I, II and III assemblies of switchgear and control gear.
• IS 4237-1982 General requirements for switchgear and control gear.
• IS 12063-1987 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures.
• IS 5082-1981 Aluminium alloy bars.
• IS 1987-1983 Copper strips for electrical purposes.
• IS 6005-1970 Phosphate treatment of iron and steel.
• IS 375-1963 and IS 5578-1970 marking and arrangement for switchgear main connections, auxiliary wiring, and insulated conductors.
• IS 2032 graphical symbols
• IS 13947 Part I to IV-1993.

Testing and approval

SEWA panels are manufactured in accordance with Indian Standards and are thoroughly checked for routine tests, ‘no-load’ tests, high-voltage tests, measurement of insulation resistance. All type tests can be conducted on special request. A Warranty and Test Certificate is given with each product.

We have Type tested our panels for degree of protection IP 55 tests, temperature rise tests, short circuit current withstanding tests. General technical specifications and ratings are listed below.

Technical Specifications and Ratings:       

• Rated Current: Main Horizontal busbars - 400A to 4000A. 
•  Rated Voltages:  Rated insulation voltage for factory built assembly: 660V, 40~60Hz. Rated operational Voltage 415V, 50Hz.
• Short-circuit strength: 50KA for 1 second for busbar systems Ambient temperature: Standard 40°C. optional 50°C.
